Coupled with a CETAC Autosampler, the DSA-7 minimizes times for sample delivery, stabilization and washout, reducing sample run times by 50% or more. By reducing sample delivery, stabilization and washout times, the DSA-7 allows the ICP or ICP-MS to spend more time analyzing sample.
- Increase Sample Throughput
- Reduce Sample Uptake, Stabilization
and Washout Time
- Reduce Sample Waste
- Lower Argon Consumption
- Reduce Sample Matrix Exposure on ICP Hardware
- Eliminate Sample Memory Effects
from Peristaltic Pump Tubing
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The DSA-7 Discrete Sampling Accessory brings technology from the HPLC industry into the ICP and ICP-MS industry in order to increase sample throughput. The CETAC DSA-7 uses a combination of a metal-free 6-port injection valve with an inert high-speed vacuum pump enabling rapid sample loading, signal stabilization and probe wash out.

Load Position: The sample loop is loaded
with
sample via the autosampler uptake.

Inject/Rinse Position: The loaded sample is pumped to the nebulizer for analysis while the autosampler probe is moved to the rinse station and is washed.
COST EFFECTIVE
Relative to workload, the DSA-7 pays for itself in as little as one week by increasing throughput and reducing overhead costs associated with Argon and power consumption, pump tubing replacement and scheduled maintenence.
SIMPLE OPERATION
The DSA-7 quickly and easily integrates into the sample flow path. A single cable provides power and communications via the CETAC Autosampler. Since the DSA-7 is powered and controlled by the CETAC autosampler, no additional software is required.
REDUCE MAINTENENCE
Use of the DSA-7 reduces exposure of ICP-MS components, such as sample cones, to the sample matrix, thereby increasing the working life. The DSA-7 also eliminates cumulative memory effects caused by exposure to peristaltic pump tubing.
COMPATIBILITY
The DSA-7 Discrete Sampling Accessory is compatible with the CETAC ASX-520, ASX-520HS, and ASX-260 Autosamplers and can integrate with most ICP and ICP-MS systems. The DSA-7 can be easily added to samplers currently in operation.
