CETAC Technologies prepares for Windows® 7 with C-Term™
(October 22, 2009 – Omaha, NE)
In anticipation of the release of Windows 7, CETAC Technologies has developed C-Term. C-Term is a simple serial [RS-232] terminal program developed to validate the installation and functionality of various CETAC devices.
In the past, this has been handled through the Windows HyperTerminal program. However, HyperTerminal is no longer included with Windows 7 or its predecessor, Windows Vista. C-Term has been developed to address this issue.
The C-Term program greatly simplifies the process of establishing serial communications between CETAC devices and the host PC. Additionally, the software is backwards compatible to Windows 2000 and all newer versions. The C-Term software can be downloaded from the CETAC website at http://www.cetac.com/service_support/downloads.asp
